The PowerPlan Charge Repository (CR) manages the interfaces between all sources of transactions including the general ledger, project accounting and book depreciation. The CR organizes and summarizes the transaction data at various levels of detail as needed for the accounting and reporting requirements for each customer. The CR provides exceptional performance and can support a virtually unlimited number of data elements. And since PowerPlan has implemented the CR at dozens of customer sites (each with a unique integration profile), PowerPlan leverages those existing assets to speed up the delivery for every new customer.

The CR augments the GL at the center of the transaction flow. The CR provides several functions that create/modify financial transactions based on configured rules.  For example, the CR can allocate overhead costs across multiple work orders, or derive capital, O&M and cost of removal charges based on a project estimate. In addition, the CR contains a configurable rules engine that verifies the completeness and accuracy of each transaction. These features avoid costly software customizations, risky manual processes or insufficient business processes that do not optimize financial performance. 

The CR acts as a comprehensive transaction repository for PowerPlan and all source/target systems. To maximize the benefit of having this single source of information, the CR offers a wide variety of standard and ad-hoc reporting capabilities so customers can quickly and easily obtain summary and detail transactional information from within the application. Furthermore, Report/Query results are presented in a structured format and can be exported to either a PDF or Excel spreadsheet on demand.
